A Small MAC Haul

I am currently on a β€œno-buy” but before I decided to pursue this crazy endeavor, I made a little online MAC haul. The reason being because MAC released a Retro Matte lip collection and while some of the colours were permanent, three were not and I had to get my grubby little hands on them before they sold out. Fast forward to me picking up two of the three limited edition Retro Mattes in Fixed On Drama and Runway Hit. I had to spend over $60+ for free shipping and it only made sense (excuses, excuses) so I added two Lipmixes to my bag in Red and Fuchsia. I am a huge fan of the OCC Lip Tars so I had to see how these compare.

My September 2013 Favourites

As September is coming to an end, I thought I would share some of my favourites for the month. At the beginning of the month, I traveled to Texas for my cousin’s wedding. I was only going for 5 days so a carry-on bag made the most sense. However, this meant that I had to downsize and only bring the bare minimum. This led, or rather forced, me to pack only my essential, trust-worthy, cannot do without products. The test of makeup time I like to refer to it as.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Rouge in 16 Fuchsia

What better way to start my first official post than with my current (but probably also my forever) favourite lipstick? That is a trick question because there is no better way! MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Rouge in 16 Fuchsia is a super matte, bright pink. It is the perfect mix between hot pink & fuchsia and it is probably one of my favourite colours to wear. It is a long-wearing lip product so it really seals and locks onto the lips. It does come with a clear gloss top-coat but I prefer wearing the colour itself for the perfect matte finish. In order to get the most precise looking lip, I line my lips with MAC Lip Pencil in Embrace Me (sadly, limited edition) but any bright fuchsia lip pencil should work. I do not fill in my whole lip so that the Aqua Rouge has a chance to really stick to my bare lips.
