My Top 5 Favourite Permanent MAC Lipsticks

It was a tough task to narrow down my favourite MAC Lipsticks but someone had to do it. I tried to think along a colour spectrum so all the shades would vary but I was seeing through some literal pink-coloured glasses (I do love my pinks). No doubt, these would be the 5 lipsticks I would recommend to those wanting to get into MAC Lipsticks. However, these are obviously some more colourful picks so they may not be for everyone. But I like to look at the different shade categories as guidelines for colours to pick. Of course, I am missing shades like the perfect orange or purple or coral or soft pink or red orange but I had to draw the line somewhere or else I would just be finding ways to just show my whole MAC Lipstick collection, haha. I have included arm and lip swatches as I find that both can be very useful.

Swatches from the top:
1. The perfect nude: Honeylove
2. The perfect red: Ruby Woo
3. The perfect pinky-red: Relentlessly Red
4. The perfect bright pink: Candy Yum-Yum
5. The perfect wine: Sin

I am a huge advocate of using lip liner to define the lips, especially for bold colours. However, these lipsticks are swatched on the lips with nothing but the help of a lip brush for true colour accuracy. I always prep my lips with leftover foundation from my foundation brush and a bit of powder with a kabuki. This helps to mattify the lips and create a nice nude canvas to work with.
